Auditions for the 2006-2007 Season
The Manhattan Choral Ensemble announces auditions for the 2006-2007 season, featuring Christmas Music from Germany in December, Stravinsky’s Mass in March, and four newly commissioned works by New York-area composers as part of our New Music for New York commissioning project in June. The MCE is looking for experienced singers of all voice parts to join a dynamic musical organization celebrating its seventh season.
Auditions by appointment and open rehearsals and will be on September 7th and September 14th at Church for All Nations, 417 West 57th Street. Auditions will consist of sight-reading, vocal exercises, and an optional prepared piece. Auditioners will be expected to have prior choral experience and some sight-reading ability. Please write to Auditions@ManhattanChoralEnsemble.org with “Auditions” in the subject line (IMPORTANT!) for more information or to schedule an audition, and visit our website at www.ManhattanChoralEnsemble.org for more information about the choir. The open rehearsal will be from 7:30pm to 9:00pm on both evenings and auditions will be scheduled via email before and after the open rehearsals.
